8000 miles on the clock and at the time, I don’t believe it had ever been out it the rain. It had a full service history, being serviced once a year whether it needed it or not. One year it had done only 37 miles between services! Has still got full history and has had far more services than the miles warrant. | It has since been out in the rain and has now covered 38000 miles, but mostly in the summer. During the winter I have mostly SORNed it and put it in a nice dry garage with a genuine Jaguar cover over it, and that is where it is now, see picture. The cover is included in the sale. I have never just used it to go to work and back, I used a little Smart car for that, so mostly has done long trips, sometimes down to France and Italy or Scotland. I always intended to keep this car forever and have looked after it as such, but life has changed. | Over the years any minor knocks have been taken care of professionally, including one dent only I could see when I sat in the drivers position. It anoyed me so I had it sorted. I have had one of the wheels refinished because it had a little curb damage when I bought the car. Most recently I have replaced all of the walnut panels with new ones. Apparently 2000/2001 models had a defective lacquer that went cloudy in sunlight. This will not now re-occur with the new panels, again, see pictures of brand new walnut. | So all in all I have kept it in pristine condition.This is a much cherished vehicle with a cherished number plate that goes with the car. | X44 XKR | Pictured also is my genuine reason for sale. He has only been in the car once when he was a puppy. I was terrified he would chew something but we got away with it with some blankets. The only work these cars ever do is to transport there 1 driver from new up and down the motorway network in top gear hence the higher than average miles but buying a higher miled lease car with 100k on the clock is like buying a private car with 40k on the clock but at a fraction of the price. I personally collected the car from the lease company in the north of England and can report the car drove perfectly in every department and returned 46 mpg with a mix of motorway, A and B roads and town centre traffic.
