The car’s 150mph performance was not achieved without penalty however, its prodigious thirst causing sales to nosedive as oil prices soared. in the condition and mileage. Currently the car has no Tax or MOT, the testing garage advised that it requires welding near the N/S rear radius arm, for which I was quoted £200. I have already purchased the necessary repair patch but due to changes in circumstances (moved home and don’t have a garage or driveway) I have decided to sell instead of completing the work; the MOT failure sheet is available. About seven years ago the car underwent a re-build so the bodywork is still in pretty good condition, although it has the usual minor dings and scrapes associated with a car of this age. The colour is difficult to describe but I think it’s a metallic grey with a hint of purple (you can decide for yourself!). As you may have noticed from the pictures the wheels are non-standard (19 inch BMW), all the tyres are good/legal but the front rims are scuffed and could do with refurbishment. Alternatively you could refit some original rims; these can be found on eBay for a relatively low cost. Please consider that this car has done over 200k and it is showing signs of wear and tear. If you are looking for a mint condition show car then this probably isn’t the one for you, however if someone was willing to invest a little time and effort it would be a fantastic looking and very reliable classic Jaguar. The car comes with a considerable bundle of history, paperwork and photographs of previous body work repairs. year and has had new sills,front and rear quarters,headlining etc etc.The paintwork is good all round and has no serious issues whatsoever.The interior is as original and has not been touched other than the new headlining.Front seats are good with no rips or tears,rears are ok but some of the stitching has come adrift,but there are no rips or tears.The woodwork could do with re-varnish.All guages work as they should.The original radio lights up but does not work properly.Door cards are fine and basically un-marked. I thought i would have the time to restore it to its former glory but unfortunately i haven t done anything to it apart from MOT and TAX it and drive it. | Good points runs great all the electrics work oil pressure is good exhaust is good interior fair to good low milage.Cheap classic insurance £100.00 for a 3000 mile a year clause. Car comes with mountains of history and a proper Jaguar service manual these are over £50.00. The car is out oF tax and test but it has never cost me mush to get it through as it had never done many miles and has always been stored inside. | Bad points rear wheel arches are corroded and need work, the full car need a respray as the paint/laquer on the bonnet lifted when i jet washed it, the headlining was loose so i cut it away as it kept annoying me. The corner bumper chromes are holed ( i have 2 but cant remember which ones) wing mirror glass was broke so i bought a new mirror which needs sorting. | If you want a classic to drive and restore as you use it this car is for you and i can say the 3.6 engine is lots of fun as its rear wheel drive and has no traction control. The car is all original with the jaguar radio cassette and electric ariel.
