This car has clearly been cherished & always garaged.The car comes with full service history, with the service book present and stamped up to date. The history file contains previous MoT certificates and bills for £4,500 worth of work in 2005 largely to brakes & suspension. More recently the fuel system was overhauled & & brake calipers replaced.The car is finished in sage green with the paint being in remarkably fine order. | JAGUAR SOVEREIGN X300 1995 | I am selling my jagaur reluctantly with no reserve which I have owned since 5th September 2005 as I have no time and money ...> to use as a sunday vehicle due to another addition to the family. | Sadly this Jaguar has no MOT and Tax as it has been sorn since the MOT ran out in September 2010 due to the purchace of a Jaguar X Type AWD which is not as comfey ride compaired to the Sovereign. However since sorn the engine has been turned over each month and moved periodically up and down our drive with no problems. | This jaguar has the 4 litre straight six engine which starts first time every time and also has the following:- | Electric seats, electric windows (all working and not slow), electric front seat head rests, electric memory seat positions, electric arial, cruise, control, original jaguar alarm / immobiliser, 6 cd interchanger and as you can see in the picture the origional complete set of tools under the bonnet amongst many other jaguar sovereign features. | I have all MOT certificates form September 2004 with recorded mileage 72786 to MOT certificate ending September 2010 with recorded mileage 103324. Since then as mentioned above this Sovereign has now been sorn off road so the winning bidder will / may have to trailer it away. | This Jaguar Sovereign is nearly 17 years old so as you would expect there is the odd rust patch / bubble the worst being around the wheel arches hence photo. The interior is not as clean as it looks in the photos and on the drivers seat there is a scuff to the right side which has been caused by getting in and out of the vehicle. Due to sorn the battery is now flat but starts first time by jump leads. The tyres go down over period of time but all have good tread (just need re-sealing). The air conditioning has never worked since I have owned the vehicle. Some yob has also scratched the bonnet hence photo. | To round up I have owned this Jagaur Sovereign for over 6 years which drives very smooth with no clunck from the gear box. It was my intention to use the Jag as a Sunday car but I don`t have the time and money. There is the odd rust patch around the vehicle but looks only surface rust apart from the two rear wheel arches hence photo. Since then (current mileage just over 81k) it has been kept ‘in the manner to which it had become accustomed’ with regular servicing and maintenance performed by Jaguar specialist garage J-Cat in Norwich. This car has full service history by Jaguar upto 106,000 miles and is now 116,952 miles on the clock and for an 20 year old jaguar thats only a little over 5,800 miles a year so its half the average yearly mileage and nothing at all for a Jaguar . It drives all A1 with a very responsive engine and smooth gear change . Its got Full leather interior , central locking , power steering , electric windows , electric mirrors , electric ariel , trip computer , cruise control , 17" 5 star alloy wheels , good tyres all round . The chrome is all good and shines up nice plus the headlining is all good . Its got little leapers on the alloys plus on the mirrors and it also has leapers on the bottom of wings etc and a big 1 on the back window . Its got full service history plus there is a few old mots here plus print outs of all previous mot history . It drives A1 with a beautiful engine and smooth gearbox . Its attended shows & runs / rally`s all over the country and will still attend shows etc until sold so look out for it . I`m not desperate to sell it It`s just I fancied a change but if not sold then I am happy to keep it and continue doing shows with it for now. Tax is to end of April & Its M.o.t`d until October 24th 2012 . Can or may be re taxed at extra cost. Bodywork is very clean & straight for year as pictures show plus the paintwork is bright and comes up Beautiful with a polish or wax . UK ONLY SALE PLEASE - CASH ON COLLECTION - £100 DEPOSIT BY PAYPAL AT AUCTION ENDI WELCOME ANY VIEWINGS BEFORE MAKING A BID - IF YOU BID, YOU BUY - NOT ...> TO COME AND LOOK!!Here we have my Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign Series III 4.2 litre straight-six. I am only selling this car due to loss of garage space as it was going to be fully restored.This car is in very presentable, useable condition as you can see from the photos - it has an MOT for nearly a year and tax until the end of August 2012.It is finished in lovely sage green metallic with contrasting tan leather interior. It has the original pepperpot alloys including the spare.She drives like a Jag should - soft and comfortable - amazing for a 30 year old car. Still looks great - Pininfarina made a good job of the Series III.The interior is a lovely place to be and is all original - the dash has some cracking to the veneer and a small bit missing near the radio but nothing too bad - all the leather is in great condition and the seats are amazingly comfortable. All gauges work as they should and the original upgraded radio-cassette (Clarion) is in situ.This car has had the air conditioning system upgraded to the new gas - the system works perfectly and blows nice and cold - remarkable for an old Jag! It also has an electric sun-roof in perfect working condition.Most of the electrics work, all four windows, central locking, electric sunroof, mirrors (although can sometimes be a little tempremental), heating system - the aerial is stuck in the `up` position. Sometimes the speedo will stop working, then will start again...The bodywork is ok but if you want it to be perfect you will need to do some work - there is bubbling round both front and rear screen (front is worst - back is not that bad). The doors have bits and pieces particularly the n/s front - this would ideally require a skin at some point in the future. The wings are generally solid but the corners could do with tidying. There are various small scratches and blemishes on the car but nothing that you would not expect for a car from 1984 - it is a solid car. As I mentioned you can use this car as it is as it looks good and always gets admiring glances - and be prepared to talk to strangers in petrol stations who always seem to want to chat...let`s be fair you don`t see that many Series III Jags about anymore!There is no service history with the car (It didn`t come with it) but I do have MOT`s going back to the late 1980`s and the Jaguar Wallet with manual etc etc. Insurance costs £100 a year on limited mileage. The original engine has been replaced at some point as I have had the current one checked and I have been advised that it is the 4.2 unit from a later Series III car - it runs very well.To sum up - a really nice genuine Jaguar Series III in a lovely colour combination - could do with some general tidying but nothing urgent. Can be used and enjoyed in the summer (especially with working air-con!) or restored at a gentle pace whilst still using. In fact you would be hard pressed to notice any at all.But they're present nonetheless and Jaguar are quick to point out that the new generation X-Type boasts no less than 500 new components.They range from a fresh design with sharper lines and more purposeful stance on the road to a greater choice of trim and equipment.The most significant visually is a new 3-D mesh grille featuring Jaguar's trademark 'growler' badge. It looks stunning and echoes the design theme of both the luxury XJ range and sensational new XF super saloon.More important though is the combination of diesel power with automatic transmission, something until now missing from the X-Type line-up but offered by most rivals.It pairs the 2.2-litre oil-burner with a six-speed auto box incorporating Jaguar's sequential shift manual system.Move to this mode and a sports setting is automatically selected which gives more dynamic and involving shifts - with the bonus of one-touch up or down gearchange.Of the two diesels on offer - the entry level 2.0 D has 130PS - the 155PS 2.2-litre model featured here is much the better.It's near silent, very smooth to drive and comfortably tops the 40mpg mark for average driving in both saloon and estate variants.Out on the road, the latest X-Type feels nicely balanced with a positive feel from the steering and reasonable acceleration.Inside there are fresh seat designs and colours, a new look to the speedo and rev counter plus a chrome finish for the steering wheel controls.And the top spec Sovereign model also has the optional Rosewood veneer finish to panels in the doors and dash.The only letdown remains rear legroom for three passengers.
